THE RIGHTS PARTNERSHIP
The Rights Partnership (TRP) is a solicitors' practice specialising in advising individuals about UK nationality and immigration law. Our three senior solicitors have between them over 25 years experience of this area of practice.
TRP was set up in 2003 and since then has rapidly established an exceptional reputation for our expertise and the quality of our work.
Chambers and Partners listed us as the only firm in Band 1 for immigration advice in the Midlands in 2006 and 2007, stating (in its 2006 Directory):
This specialist Boutique firm 'is a nice outfit to work with' possessing a 'strong, solid reputation that is popular with the punters.' ....Focusing on handling cases after the Home Office has made a decision, this firm has become finely attuned to 'sorting out messes and restoring the faith of clients in the system.'"
Two of our three senior solicitors are ranked in Chambers and Partners Directories 2006 and 2007 as leading individuals in the field of immigration law in the Midlands. They are described as follows:
Margaret Finch 'is quite an exceptional practitioner.' As well as being pinpointed for her work on meaty asylum applications involving complex fresh evidence, she is also noted for her "astute handling" of judicial reviews.
Sean Mcloughlin has also roundly impressed onlookers and is described as having "a strong solid reputation in the market." He is well-versed in cases that reach the higher courts.
Chambers Website entry 2007 for TRP reads:
This specialist immigration and human rights boutique is going from "strength to strength," gathering praise from all corners of the market for its provision of "leading advice and representation" from "knowledgeable and experienced practitioners." With much of the team's caseload consisting of matters referred to it post-decision or post-appeal, this firm is regarded as the first choice for cases concerning "the sometimes arbitrary decisions made by the Home Office." These lawyers often deal with clients who have been poorly treated in the past, "handling difficult issues with sensitivity" and "striving to restore faith in the client." The team is dedicated to publicly funded work and is frequently involved in the heavyweight immigration cases progressing to the higher courts.
In a rapidly changing area of law and practice, we pride ourselves on our cutting edge work, the quality of our service, and the expertise of our staff. All our solicitors and advisors are accredited at Level 2 (senior caseworker) of the Law Society's immigration and asylum accreditation scheme.
TRP is a firm of solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The partners at TRP are Margaret Finch and Sean Mcloughlin.
